The truth about Chris Tool is that he was in charge of Wegmans and was hated. 1. He negotiated a contract that in concept is a good fair deal however because Chris Tool is so much smarter than everyone else he didn't consult an attorney and the language that maintains the contract is ineffective. 2. He allowed the management to get away not answering grievances and not holding them accountable which we now no why thanks to Chris Camelio exposing TRISH GATE. 3. Third Stop pay was supposed to be completed after the contract was signed and it was never done yet the company was allowed to dispatch runs and not pay the drivers. To this day there are letters going back and forth but no signed agreement . First Chris agrees with the agreement then he doesn't.(swift boat tool). 4. Then he let Trish force drivers for 4 hours when the contract was clear. And until Kevin and Gene stepped in scheduled arbitration at the last min the company conceded. But under tool this went on for five years. 5.Then there are the people he help Trish Vantucci fire by not involving an attorney he entered into a last chance agreement for Mark Wind causing him to loose his job. But there was also John Irving, and many others. 6.Then there is the Titan system that the secretary treasure is in charge of for union dues that was out of wack and took the international several weeks to fix. Why you might ask, because Chris Tool hired Steve Mazzas step daughter who had no experience and just did what ever she wanted with our money.(Conflict of interest Chris) and by the way she still works there today because Gene was force to bring here back. Chris is in charge of the finances for local 118? 7. When Chris Tool was at Wegmans he would tell us who cares about freight it's dead. (How do like that freight guy that is how much he cares about your job>) 8. Chris Tool went after Sharon Johnson the book keeper because she found out through doing an audit that 791 was bankrupt and that would have ended the merger deal. Local 118 wound up with Pauls mismanaged debt. 9. Paul Markowitz bankrupted his local, can't even manage his personal finances gets his wife's car reposed. 10. Steve Maza and Chris Tool bully Tim Barbato behind to trailers at Wegmans and threaten his job. Why because they are afraid of Tim! 11. After Chris makes a mess out of Wegmans then he has a temper tantrum and throws the 300+ grievances on Kevin's desk and walks away saying fun with the ******** stewards. That is why Kevin and Dave have to consult an attorney. And buy the way the company has their attorney present at all negotiations? Shouldn't we ??
Is this the kind of leadership the membership wants? No it's not. Think about these things the next time you bad mouthed the blue team.

Hunter, GREAT POST ! Very comprehensive not to mention informative. But your post only scratches the surface. The enormous sums TOOLE has embezzled from the Local and his attempt to get Tony Greco to commit PERJURY. Can't wait to see the treasure trove of information that Chris Camelio's lawsuit dredges up. Didn't think it was possible for it to get much worse for TOOLE, but it will !

Yes, Toole did go after me because I wouldn't change the books or hide the figures like he wanted. He was pissed because I reported him to the other Officers and Agents. But of course, Mazza stepped in and allowed Toole to do what he wanted because he couldn't run the Local himself. Mazza is to blame for a lot of this due to mismaagement of the Local. If he had done his job, a lot of this could have been fixed back then.
As for the problems at Wegmans, Toole caused those too. He did give the grievances (hundreds of them) to Kevin to fix because, again, he couldn't do his job and when it became overwhelming, he jumped ship and blames Kevin for what he screwed up. Kevin worked his ass off trying to resolve the grievances that had been piling up because Toole wasn't handling them.
As for the dues problems at Wegmans, again Toole is behind that. In 2008, Patti (Titan operator) hadn't raised the dues from 2006 when she should have. Chris dumped the whole mess on me and Kevin to fix. This took days to fix and then when the next checkoff came in, Patti changed them all back with the push of one button, then told me and Kevin we had to do it all over again and, "oh well, **** happens". I can't prove it but suspect that Toole told her to do that. Toole threw more and more work at me and Kevin that wasn't supposed to even be our responsibility but we did it on top of having to do our regular work.
Then Toole and Mazza lied about my work ethics at the hearings and said that I had gotten written up several times (I never had once) and that I wasn't performing my job responsibilities.
They are both useless in my book and I wouldn't vote for Toole for dog catcher.
I don't know who the Blue Team is, but if I could, I would support them fully and vote for them so that Local 118 can be run by competent people who want the best for the Union. Toole does not. He feels that it's all about him and stated that to me several times.
Vote Blue!

Sharon, thank you for your COURAGE ! First for testifying at Toole's Hearings. Too bad the IBT one was a SHAM ! No matter, an ELECTION will put an end to TOOLEBAG's cruel rule. Thanks also for postin under your own name. You and Mark Meadows deserve credit for doing that. Most of the rest of us post under an assumed name out of concern for Toole's Blackballing tactics.

Sonny, thanks for your comments. It's nice to be appreciated.
Toole has blackballed me for years which made it almost impossible to find employmet after I left in 2008.
I worked my ass off for many many years at Local 118 and did my job to the best of my ability with honesty, hard work and dedication. Did I make mistakes along the way? Sure, I am human. But, unlike Toole, I admitted to my mistakes, brought them to the attention of the Executive Board and had a resolution. I never swept problems under the carpet or took it out on another co-worker as Toole did to me (and many others).
He forced me out of a great position and then compounded it by trying to block my unemployment. I fought him (without legal representation) and beat him (he had Harren represent him, what a joke he is) and still he continued to blackball me when employers called for a reference.
I ended up taking an early retirement at a great loss to my pension just so that I had an income to survive on.
I heard that Debbie Baroody left because of Toole also. Don't know if it's true, but given the circumstances of working with him, would bet that she finally reached her breaking point just as I did.
He is a ruthless, conniving, manipulative, bully and a poor excuse for a man. He has not ONE redeeming quality. These are my opinions, but I doubt many would argue my statements.
I still feel a dedication to Local 118 and its members after all these years and hope that justice will soon be served and that the Blue Team will prevail. I fully support any and all Blue Team members and there are several members who know how to get in touch with me if I can be of assistance in any way toward removing Toole and instilling confidence back in the Local by way of a huge victory.
As stated by many, GO BLUE TEAM! The fight is worth the gain. Never give up, perserverance has its rewards, and yours will change the future for all members and their families.

We, THE BLUE TEAM, commend you for your years of service and dedication to the local and Teamsters overall. You truly are a great Teamster. The BLUE TEAM consists of all members of the site and the local who are not afraid to stand up for our beliefs and stand against Toole and his self centered, egotistical tactics and his small band of followers. You truly are a member of the BLUE TEAM! I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you have done and I'm sure will continue to do.

That is a very good point, the Blue Team isn't limited to a small bunch running for office, but the whole group committed to repairing and restoring Local 118!
